10th International Symposium on Online Journalism

Dear Colleagues,

I just wanted to mention to you a special call for papers coming up in
April.

10th International Symposium on Online Journalism (April 17-18, 2009)
University of Texas at Austin

This year's symposium in Austin,
Texas

is extra special as it celebrates 10 years of this special gathering
that brings together professionals and scholars from the journalism
field from all over the world for an intense two-day session of
discussions, presentations and great conversations!

This year's call for papers/abstracts is now underway - until February 23,
2009.

Please
consider submitting a paper/abstract for the conference and pass the
word along to your friends and colleagues. Some of the details include:

Deadline: February 23, 2009

*Academic papers/abstracts should present
original research
into any aspect on online journalism including, but not limited to,
changes in news content and presentation, business models for online
journalism, shifting roles of journalists and readers, and the legal
and ethical implications of globally accessible journalism.

*Papers
should not have been published or presented at a prior conference. If a
completed paper is not yet available, please submit a three-page
abstract including details on research questions and methodology. Papers
should be completed by time of the conference.

*All
submissions will undergo a blind review. Authors will be notified of
acceptance in March 2009. All submissions should be made electronically
to: online.journalism@yahoo.com
